deductive – take a bit of knowledge and another bit of knowledge to make a truth.

modus ponen – always true

contrapositive – always true

converse – never true

Inverse – never true

inductive – take some truth to identify a bit of knowledge 

abduction – take observations and guesses to for a theory that is likely to be true.
